The IT Operations Specialist is responsible for the continued operation and maintenance of hardware and software used to support the business operations of KAS. This includes, but not limited to, Servers, PCs, printers, network interfaces, standard office and anti-malware software, and associated devices. Setup, configuration, operation, back-ups, user instruction and help desk for local and remote users is included.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Perform hardware and software installation and maintenance including but not limited to, backups, updates, preventive maintenance, hardware diagnostics, and part replacements
Support in house use of standard office programs including MS Office, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and others as required
Document procedures and maintain shop and maintenance logs
Maintain and organize PC lab and shop
Opportunities for growth - Marginal Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with networking of hardware including Internet service connection, network hardware and software
Provide user support and programming for intranet reporting
Serve as special project lead using IT technology to assist business functions. Typical examples include sales, inventory, labor, and accounting.
Duration and Time Involvement:
Full time. 40 hours per week.
Must be at least 18 years of age
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent
Some technical training and experience in computers required.
Experience in MS server, Ubuntu, MS Office, SharePoint, Graphics, VPN, and network protocols is a plus.
Good communication and organizational skills are required
